Online therapy or telehealth has become increasingly common since COVID 19. Telehealth increases access to therapy by reducing the barriers of time and distance. A number of studies have concluded that online therapy is equivalent to face-to-face interventions on most dimensions including scheduling/attendance, reducing behavioral health stigma and establishing a therapeutic alliance.
I am currently licensed to provide Telepsychology in 34 states through PSYPACT. Click here for a list of participating states.
What is PSYPACT?
PSYPACT is an interstate compact that allows licensed psychologists to practice telehealth and to conduct temporary in-person face-to-face practice of psychology across state boundaries legally and ethically without having to be licensed in every state to practice.
At the moment, PSYPACT legislation is fully effective in 34 states. There is one other state where legislation has been enacted, but not yet effective and 6 other states have pending legislations.
