"REAL isn't how you are made. It's a thing that happens to you. It doesn't happen all at once. Once you are REAL, you can't become unreal again. It lasts for always" —— The Velveteen Rabbit
Treatment consists of a series of 50-minute sessions at least once a week. Treatment is highly individualized and the length of treatment is based on each client’s specific situation and goals.
I am experienced providing individual, couples and group therapy. Within a supportive and exploratory therapeutic environment, I help clients gain better understanding of their own behavioral and emotional patterns and develop new, healthier life strategies.
My approach to psychotherapy is integrative, collaborative and engaged. I value the importance of exploring the past in order to identify those patterns that no longer serve you as they used to. I also draw from multiple theoretical orientations and techniques in order to tailor the best plan to help you accomplish your goals.

Individual Therapy
Psychotherapy is an intricate mix of art and science that has the potential to lead to deep transformation. I see individual therapy as an opportunity to learn more about yourself. As much as you are the expert on yourself, there are internal mechanisms that may keep you from fully identifying and processing the things that are hurting you or holding you back. My goal as a therapist is to skillfully guide you to identify these factors, to help you to fully process emotions and to reorganize your experience in a way that better fits who you are now.
Couples Therapy
People have an innate need for connection and relationships. The process of developing strong bonds involve getting to know each other a deeper level and the need to feel safe and contained within the relationship. As gratifying as this may feel it may also generate a sense of vulnerability and misalignment in the effort to be seen and understood by your partner. My goal as a couples therapist is to help people learn to communicate at a deeper level and to truly understand each other. I value the importance of creating a safe space to explore what may be at the core of the conflict and to guide you and your partner to draw from this deeper understanding to find solutions to your conflicts.
Supervision
I have a passion for helping people grow personally and professionally. As a supervisor I strive to help clinicians transfer theoretical knowledge into actual clinical interventions and most importantly, to help you find your own voice and style as a therapist. My goal as a supervisor is to guide you to develop and strengthen your skills, increase competence and to develop your own identity as a therapist.
